HIBA Housing was created by an individual who understood the hardships that young people face, particularly those who are transitioning into adulthood without a stable support system. With a vision of doing things differently and providing young individuals with a better start, HIBA Housing aims to revolutionise and innovate the way 16+ placements are approached.
The driving force behind HIBA Housing is a team of passionate individuals who are dedicated to advocating for the rights, autonomy, and equality of young people. They recognise the need for a supportive environment that empowers young individuals to thrive and reach their full potential.
Specialist Staff
We pride ourselves on the knowledge and skills of our staff in working with young people. Each team member has undergone extensive training in Adverse Childhood Experiences and Early Trauma, Radicalisation and Prevention, Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE), Safeguarding and Mental Wellbeing. This specialised training equips our staff with the necessary tools and understanding to effectively communicate and support young people facing difficult and complex situations.
Staff qualifications and backgrounds include registered Social Workers, Personal Trainers, and performance creative backgrounds. All staff at HIBA Housing are supervised by a registered Social Worker and undergo regular supervision to ensure they are effectively supporting the young people in our care. Additionally, continued training and development is encouraged and undertaken by all staff, with input from the young people themselves.
We understand the importance of safety and security, which is why all our staff have DBS checks. The same rule applies for any external source visiting our homes.

In addition to this, our staff comes from diverse backgrounds and qualifications, including registered Social Workers, Personal Trainers, and individuals with performance creative backgrounds. We also
have in-house teachers and multilingual team members, ensuring that we can support young people from a variety of cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
All staff at HIBA Housing are supervised by a registered Social Worker and undergo regular supervision to ensure they are effectively supporting the young people in our care. Furthermore, continued training and development is encouraged and undertaken by all staff, with input from the young people themselves.
We also understand the importance of safety and security, which is why all of our staff have undergone DBS checks. This applies not only to our residential team but also to our secure transportation team who provide specialist transport services for young people.
